Job Description
Location: Gary, IN

Shift: 2nd Shift

Schedule: Full-time; Monday-Wednesday plus every other weekend, 3 p.m.-1:30 a.m.

Job overview:
  • Perform major and minor repairs as a Senior Trailer Technician in Gary.
  • Work on company trailers, intermodal chassis and containers.

Responsibilities:
  • Repair or replace components on company trailers, chassis and containers.
  • Perform repairs on major accident damage - some that may require welding.
  • Diagnose and repair all issues involving trailer electrical systems.
  • Communicate status updates with internal customers.

Skills and qualifications:
  • Technical degree in welding, electronics, or related systems, or a minimum of two years of trailer technician experience.
  • Mastery of various diesel technician tools, including hand and power tools, cutting and welding torches, frame and body straightening equipment, etc.
  • Computer systems and diagnostic software experience.
  • Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.
